The Last Few Weeks of Pregnancy and Life Update

Life Update Third Trimester-1-5Hello Friends!

It’s been a long time since I’ve sat down to write a blog post and I actually didn’t expect to be gone for so long.

In July, I decided to take a step back from blogging because of a very difficult pregnancy. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant, which means that we will be meeting our little boy very soon. In fact, my c-section is already scheduled and is just a little over 2 weeks away.

This pregnancy has been even harder than with Nathaniel, especially during the second trimester. I’ve been hospitalized several times because of severely low electrolytes, acidosis, nausea, vomiting and a lot of other GI issues, which aren’t fun to talk about. Anyway, I did end up getting a PICC line again, which is a more permanent type of IV access and I am getting IV fluids with electrolytes every day.

I have been feeling much stronger since I’ve been getting the electrolytes, but I still have to be very careful not to overdo things, because this time, I also have a lot more contractions.

If you’re new to my blog and want to read more about my previous pregnancy, you can find those posts here.

We are doing great overall. Nathaniel is growing quickly and we love watching him achieve new milestones, learn new things and get to see his personality developing. He brings us so much happiness and is a bundle of energy and adventure. He is at such a fun age right now; I am trying to soak it all in. I absolutely LOVE being a Mommy and even though it can be challenging and exhausting, it’s so rewarding and fulfilling. My husband and I are so excited to have another son added to our family very soon and it’ll be a lot of fun to have a playmate for Nathaniel.

Life Update Third Trimester-1-4I’m sorry I haven’t been able to respond to comments or emails, but I hope you can understand that I’ve been in survival mode and had to choose my priorities. I would really appreciate your prayers for the upcoming c-section, for a healthy, strong baby boy and a quick recovery for me with no complications. I hope you are all doing well. I appreciate all your thoughtful emails, comments and prayers.Life Update Third Trimester-1-6

Dear Olga, It’s been a long while since I’ve been on your site. I’ve been so busy myself, with children visiting from Colorado, travelling back & forth to Syracuse from MA to help my 82 yr old mom (has Alzheimer) & 91 yr old stubborn dad (recently) split his head open but he’s good now… and my ministry & of course cooking for my sis & myself.
Congratulations to you & Sergey & Nathaniel (love his старшій брат tee)on Joshua Paul, the cutest fella there is! Makes me want to have 3 more! I’m glad you’re back & hope you continue to share with us more recipes and may Jehovah keep you all under his loving care.
