Our Adoption

As many of you know, my husband and I have been in the process of adopting two children from Russia. In the past few weeks, there have been many disturbing events that were taking place that threatened our  adoption. This morning, my husband and I found out that Putin had signed a law into effect banning Russian orphans from being adopted by US citizens. We are absolutely devastated. We don’t know what this will mean for our adoption; we are just waiting to hear how it will all unfold. You can read more on our adoption blog.

At this point, I will be taking a week off from blogging as we wait to hear more from our agency. I ask for your prayers and understanding. Have a wonderful New Year and may it bring blessings to all of us.

You came to my heart last night as I was thinking about the “friends” who were still in process. I’ve seen from one of the facebook groups that families in process may still be able to finish, but I don’t know the true definition of “in process”- but praying they do allow this and praying it’s families who have registered their dossiers!! Keep us posted!

    Hi Olga,

I am from Canada and last night, when I heard the news, I was thinking of you. I didn’t know that Putin will sign the law so fast… I’ll pray for you and I know that God will give you the kids. I can’t wait to see the way he’ll work for you. Trust in the Lord!

Olga, as I was reading the latest news about the adoption process, tears were rolling down my eyes. I have 3 little ones of my own and I couldn’t imagine living without them. This is a time of test, don’t give up, have stronger faith and go to God for He is the one that makes the impossible, possible. He did miracles in your own life and one of them I know that he healed you, when everyone thought they would loose you. Keep strong in the Lord, will pray for your family. Keep us posted please.

Good luck to you. I know 4 American families that have adopted a total of 6 lucky children from Russia. People who adopt have great generosity of heart. May you and they be blessed.

My pastor and his wife just adopted a boy from Russia. They are starting a prayer group to pray for those this ban effects. We would like to include you and your husbands names.
    Thanks, Olga,
